Atomic Z1

The Z1 is Atomic's compact and economical regulator system. The Z1 may be the least expensive of the Atomic line, but still offers great performance. Built upon the B1/T1 platform, it shares the same breathing performance and patented features of their more expensive counterparts such as the B1, the M1 and ultiamtely the T2.

The Z1 first stage is made from chrome plated brass and type 316 stainless steel. The second stage features a precision machined brass demand valve tube, plated with Palladium/ Zirconium for corrosion resistance 3-4 times that of conventional chrome plating. The lever, orifice and second stage spring are titanium.

Exclusive patented Atomic feature automatically adjusts airflow at depth to maintain stable, comfortable breathing.

Chex reports that the Z1 is much easier to breath with than the Sherwood Oasis regulator and briefly used for several dives before settling with the Z1. In most positions, including vertical, the Z1 presented with no major "leaks" and air delivery was smooth. We will be doing a deep dive with it shortly to verify the performance of this unit in that depth. Aside from dry mouth experienced by Chex with this new regulator and jaw fatigue caused by the standard motuhpiece, Chex reports that the regulator works very well and performs highly.
