According to Rodale's Scuba Lab, "Simplicity is king with SeaQuest's Balance, a Testers' Choice. The air cell is low-profile. A depth-compensating waistband with big adjustment D-rings replaces the traditional cummerbund.
Unique swivel buckles on the shoulder adjustments allow straps to wrap beneath the arms, clearing the chest area and optimizing fit. One large pocket folds beneath the right-side weight pouch, then drops for easy access when you want to use it. Its zipper closure can be operated with one hand."
Seaquest Balance is the BCD of choice among our group members. We have found it easy to use, and extremely comfortable. It is so "out of the way" that sometimes we find ourselves asking one another "Hey, is my BCD inflating correctly?"
The weight pockets are easy to ditch in any emergency and the optional Air Source that some of us have is a great addition. We have had the Seaquest Balances for over 2 years now and they have performed flawlessly. It is still a great BCD and I will be replacing mine with another Balance when is needed.
