Apollo Bio Fins

According to Apollo, "Speed, comfort, and maneuverability; you can have it all. Extensive field testing has shown that each participant was able to reach and sustain higher speeds when using the bio-fin than they could achieve with conventional paddle type fins."

I do find it easier to kick and less energy consuming while using the bio fins if compared to regular paddle fins. I have not yet experienced the "lack of power" in lower depths that others sugested to me. I have had the bio fins for over 2 years now and are completely happy with them.

Underwater, myself and Ghost can cruise in circles around Chex with his Volo Fins. It also offers a better compromise between softness and stiffness than Echo's Atomic Splitfins. The strap buckle is easy to use and to release making entries and exits on high surfs a bit more easy to handle. Using these fins during my Rescue Course training also showed me their effectiveness as I could
slip in and out of these fins faster than Chex could with his but I guess training will also greatly help in these situations. Overall, I think the Bio Fins are a great piece of equipment and should definetely be given some consideration if you are in the market for fins.

Apollo has newer Bio-fins PRO. I haven't had a chance to test them myself but hopefully I will be able to do so.

Check Apollo's site for further review or watch the VIDEO from Apollo for more information.
