Dive-Rite, the US technical-diving equipment supplier, makes one of the most voluminous wings. It also offers a double version, the sort to which you could almost fit an outboard motor and use as a dinghy to get back to shore after the dive.
According to Dive Rite,
the TransPac is the most innovative and versatile diving harness on the market. It is designed and tested to meet the most rugged diving conditions while maintaining absolute comfort. The TransPac is completely modular so not only can it be customized to fit any body type, but each piece can be replaced.
Regarded as one of the most comfortable integrated BC system out there, it has gathered very good marks in different dive gear test. Largely referred as top of the line right along the OMS IQ system for recreational diving. The Dive Rite and OMS backplates are preferred by tech divers for tech diving however.
Echo reports that his new BCD from Dive Rite offers good comfort and a large amount of D-Rings for extra gear. The optional crotch strap has also helped in making him a lot more stable in various dive positions.
I have had my Transpac for over 2 years now and it has become the workhorse among all my BCDs. It is comfortable, secure (2 tank straps), easy to trim and sturdy. It has been with me on numerous dives across the country without missing a beat.
Although it is undoubtly my favorite, it could still use some improvements. Check out the review page for the Hollis ATS BCD and you will see why.
Nothing else but to say this is the best BCD I have used to date and that you can do no wrong with it for recreational diving purporses.
