The Genesis GS2000 was NOS's first regulator coming into the sport. After an extensive research where price and performance were thrown in consideration, the GS2000 emerged victorious.
The GS2000 is a very well built unit. It offers ease of breathe on the surface as well as in depth. Also it performed flawlessly in inverted positions.
Because its 2nd stage unit is light and compact, jaw fatigue was almost a non issue while comparing to the heavier weight regulators such as Mares' Abyss or Scubapro's S600.
Together with its sibbling, the Genesis OZ Titanium regulator, which is by all means a titanium version of the trusted GS2000 model, they received high marks in ScubaLab's test a few years ago.
A well built unit and a good performer, the GS2000 is priced moderately and would be a good addition to your gear list.
