Henderson Wetsuits

As they say, your wet gear is the most important piece of equipment you need diving in the cold waters of California. You don't know the meaning of it until you dive at 50 degree water.

My first purchase after my Open Water Cert was a set of Henderson's Gold Core 5mm Wet Suit. After asking a million questions to the sales lady...sorry.... I finally decided to spend the big "kwan" and get a set of their suit. The Gold Core suit is G R E A T ! ! ! They are easy to put on, easy to take off, fast to dry and best of all, no funky stuff grows on it.

I seem to be the only person in the group with Henderson's so my opinion might be bias, but I would not trade my set of wetsuit in for anything. It gives me the ability to use the outer portion in warmer waters while I can use the farmer john portion if I need protection to my legs and finally as most of my dives here in California have been, I use the full set to keep me warm.Since then, I have added to my duty roaster a Henderson's Gold Core Hood and a pair of their Hyperstretch ZipperLess Boots. Also great addition to my gear.

Also, Henderson just introduced their new INSTA-DRY suits. I have purchased the 5mm version of the full body Insta-Dry suit and tested it in the warm waters of Maui. The suit was quite easy to be put on and offered good warmth although testing in cooler water will be needed to find out how it performs in coller waters.
The Insta-Dry performed exactly that way it was meant to, dry fast. With repeated days of constant diving, the Insta-Dry suit was great as I was able to put on a nicely dry suit daily while Echo had to put on while his suit was still mildly wet.
