For a long time, divers have argued for both standard fins and split fins. Some like the standard paddle fins, others like myself like the split fins. The best I could say is that I think is strictly personal preference. I wouldn't tell you to buy any particular type of fins. Did I say my Apollo Bio Fins kick butt? Oooppps. Well, truefully, it is really up to the diver so you should try both types and make your own judgement.
