The new Aquatics Alternate Air Source is a very good product. Atomic products are known to be extremely well made products and the SS1 is no different. "In the past, emergency safe-seconds and octopus regulators have not delivered the same breathing performance as a primary second stage.
That all changes with the SS1." according to manufacturer representative.
The SS1 is built with an adaptor system for use with BCs from manufacturers including Seaquest, Zeagle, Aqualung, Mares, Oceanic, SCUBAPRO and many others.
We have had these units for about 2 years and have yet to give us any type of problem. So it only confirms how well these units are built.
